ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius provides a networking platform for the participants and alumni of its programmes on its website The foundation attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. We regard your personal data as strictly confidential. The data collected when you visit our web pages is stored and used in accordance with the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz). ZEIT-Stiftung ensures that only relevant data is collected and stored. The alumni pages provide general information in a public domain area, and more specific information in a restricted area accessible only by password. The collection of personal data through our web pages is exclusively related to your participation in the programmes of the foundation. The alumni of these programmes have access to a restricted area via password that enables them to view the personal data of other participants such as their professional profile or contact details for networking purposes. Any commercial use of this data is prohibited. Participants can register for events on the restricted area of the website. The use of your personal data is strictly limited to the aims and requirements of networking. ZEIT-Stiftung does not share this data with third parties.

2. Cookies

In order to achieve optimal web typography for the reading of digital texts and the use of font styles, the ZEIT-Stiftung uses the Adobe Typekit service on its web pages. The service provider requires the following information for billing purposes from the ZEIT-Stiftung: which fonts are provided by which service, user-ID of the client, application required to use the fonts, server providing the fonts, hostname of the download page, and time required to download the fonts. Adobe collaborates with other font providers in order to be able to provide the required fonts for visiting our websites on your computer via Typekit. The loading of these web fonts is enabled through a server call to Adobe. This entails the storing of the IP-address of the browser on your computer by Adobe. 4. Links to Websites of Other Providers
The web pages under "ZEIT-Stiftung-Alumni" contain links to some websites of other providers. As a user, you may view and download photos via the filehosting service "Dropbox". No data is transmitted to social media companies. Unless the user follows a clearly marked link, there is no data transmission to the link in question. This data protection notice applies only to the web pages of "ZEIT-Stiftung-Alumni". We cannot influence or monitor whether other providers comply with data protection laws.

In order to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of personal data, the ZEIT-Stiftung undertakes all necessary technical and organizational security measures to prevent loss of data, its misuse or unlawful access.
